It has been reported that the Green Party is considering a new policy of stripping police officers of their taser and pepper spray.
It appears that the party led by Zack Polanski will be putting a motion forward for vote at their conference. However the move has come up against sharp criticism from people with common sense.
It appears that as our brave men and women of the police attend violent disorder they would be better to mindfully consider the impact that their actions might have upon those that are purportrating the crime. Heavens forbid they harm or cause any level of discomfort to the individual, known to most of us as a criminal, but to the Greens, a misunderstood human.
And of course we must wonder in a world where police have got things wrong if we should bother having police officers at all?
But this brings in to stark reality the dangers of the Green Party, who have long stopped being a climate focussed party and moved on to lunacy of which the Monster Raving Loonie Party is considering changing it’s name in fear of being mistaken for the Green Party.
It is true of course that across the pond in La La land there has been police brutality and killings of innocent people. However the Green Party seem to feel that this is justification for taking non lethal protections from our officers, most of whom are well trained, use their taser or pepper spray as a last resort and are no doubt under some of the highest scrutiny of any profession in the UK.
One begins to wonder how it will feel for a police officer being called to a fight on a Friday night with nothing in their arsenal should some local pleb present them with a broken bottle in their face.
This is clearly a deeply concerning story, until of course you remember that the Green Party are never going to get into power and if they did this would be fairly near the bottom of our worries.
And in other news the Green Party are also understood to be considering a policy to discontinue the governments prevent program used for organisations to report individuals they are concerned are obsessed with, planning or at risk of being groomed for terrorism. Sounds like a smashing idea.
